I am giving you three choices for your prompt this week. You can choose one or mix and match, depending on how much of a challenge you are up for.
Prompt 1: Read today's poem, Count Down, by Robin Morgan. Then write an unrhymed sonnet of any type that plays with one or more cliche phrases.
Prompt 2: Write a poem that examines what it was like for you at seventeen.
Prompt 3: Write a poem with seventeen lines. Each line should have seventeen syllables in each line. The word "seventeen" should be in the poem once. If you need some added inspiration (or even if you do not), use this link to go to a video of Janis Ian singing her amazing song, At Seventeen.
